Correfoc
Ayer, justo antes de entrar a trabajar empecé a escuchar un continuo estruendo de petardos. Tenía la cámara conmigo y corrí a ver que pasaba. No lejos, en la plaza de Vara de Rey, estaban celebrando el Correfoc, una tradición catalana donde un grupo de demonios y diablos hacen una gran fiesta de fuego y polvora.
Fué la primera vez que asití a uno de estos espectáculos y me encantó. Pude convencer a uno de los policias que mantenía el perímetro de seguridad para que me dejase estar un poco mas cerca del bullicio. Aquello era una lluvia de chispas cayendo a mi alrededor y duró apenas unos minutos, los que tardó alguien de Protección Civil en convencerme de que no era una buena idea estar allí sin la protección adecuada.
Lllegué al trabajo, sin quemaduras y con un par de fotos que me gustan. Esta es una de ellas.
Yesterday, just before going to work, a very loud noise of firecrackers filled the air. I had the camera with me so I run to see what was going on. Not far away, at Vara de Rey square, a big group of people were celebrating Correfoc, a catalonian tradition where a group of demons and devils celebrate and dance under the fire and noise.
It was my first time ever to this event and I loved it. I could convence one of the policeman to let me cross the security perimeter and be a little bit closer to that mess. Soon it was a rain of sparks all arround me which lasted for a few minutes, the time that took another security guy to come to me and convince me that it was a bad idea to be there without protection.
I arrived late to work, with no burns and some photos I like. This is one of those.

Es una buena idea llevar la cámara siempre con uno mismo, sin esperarlo puede aparecer el momento adecuado para inmortalizar el tiempo, claro que también hay que tener buena mano, sin duda, tú la tienes.
Meterme de vez en cuando en tu blog y ver la playa, la puesta del sol, que bonita la de Es Vedrá, provoca una grata sensación. Gracias.
Hey bro, after the third time looking at this photo I saw something which is quite cool. If you looka the person in the middle of the shot you can see that some of the sparks at this instance are exactly on his eye and mouth giving him/her an even more demonic look. Did you plan this?
